CGA is comprised of the compounds cafestol Kahweol, and 16-O-methylcafestol. These compounds are a part of diterpenes, which are found naturally in coffee beans. Researchers have found that CGA in coffee beans that have been roasted is more easily absorbable than raw beans. This could explain why CGA is so efficient.
